...You couldn't have picked a more unrelated post to bash apple in, and I'm all about bashing apple.

I think the hardest part about this contest is that your asking a bunch of tech nerds to show off their crappy gadgets. If there's one thing we all have in common on this site it's our love of great tech.

Can I just say thanks Engadget for covering something else almost as fiercely as Apple gets covered? Though I'm not likely to sink my teeth into the Kin I'm glad to see it getting covered. It seems like we get Apple news every time Steve Jobs farts. What makes Apple so much more newsworthy?

Also, on topic: Great read on an interesting, and unique (although not for me) little device!

I think that image should should find a reason to be used regularly from now on.

So I have to say though Apple products tend to irk me (you're paying for a name) there's no denying what the iPad had done with the market. Not long ago MIDs were catching tons of flack for being "too big for your pocket" and now look at what's coming out. Consumer interest in slate devices is finally to a point where they can be marketable, and I'm pretty ok with that.
