If you like the JDM Odyssey, you should check out the UK accord wagon (known as a "tourer" over there). That thing is awesome. It looks like they took the euro Accord and stretched it, and it comes together quite well. It also comes with the 2.2 diesel that might not make it to the states, making it even better "forbidden fruit."

i'd cancel the order. can't track the car without worrying about arbitrary voiding ov warranty by dealer. if you are serious about buying this car for its true intended use, you would likewise kiss the warranty goodbye or buy another car. I thought the GTR was fantastic until this nanny popped in.
now, the better question is does the ZR-1 have the black box?

45k for a wagon too much you say? i think if you are looking at price you are ignoring that many people who opt for a bmw ignore price. and, there's nothing wrong with a very nice sports wagon. see e.g., http://www.mbusa.com/models/main.do?modelCode=E63S. a fine example of an expensive wagon (86k+) that people buy enough of to substantiate sale of said vehicle. if i had loads of money and had a need for a wagon, i'd buy one.

no surprise, but may be if they want to start getting ready for 2015 CAFE standards they should consider dumping oversized junk like the x6 from their line up and consider providing better wagon options in the states.

i'm not a business guy, but it looks like to me they are trying to do what porsche is trying to do to vw, and eventually merge with them. am i wrong?

i really like the idea. that could make race day much more of an event. but, i imagine a game maker would have alot to think about to make a good game based on this technology; e.g., if you crash, is it that you can't play anymore, or do you restart and play thru all the laps again, but now in tivo-ish mode...or, do you just start down the track on the current lap, where you could never catch up to the race leader?
