In fact, the team is prepared to go with the talented Jyles Tucker if Merriman can't go. And lets not forget about Shaun Phillips as well.

Merriman is a competitor and wants to win a championship. Since day one, he has stated his goal is to win a Super Bowl with the San Diego Chargers. This is his shot, he's not going to miss it.

See, is it really that hard to be a Chargers fan for a day? Of course not! Only those poor souls who hate fish tacos and 70 degree weather in January can find fault in San Diego. (Not to mention the fact that hating fish tacos is un-american and all those mentioned in the mitchell report shared in their distaste for fishy treats)

This is a team that has won 46 games the past four seasons, only the Pats and Colts have won more.

We've been through two different Quarterback (Brees, Rivers), two head coaches and offensive coordinators/defensive coordinators.

We send lots of players to the Pro Bowl and we are consistently one of the better teams in the league. We've won at Foxboro and we've won in Indianapolis and yet we still get trashed by the biased media...

A second round pick is right on the money for a guy like Chambers. I have always been a fan of his and considering the sorry QBs he's had down in Miami, its a miracle he ever made the Pro Bowl at all.

His presence is going to help negate the eight man front's that Tomlinson faces each week, and will allow Gates to see more single coverage.

The Chargers are a much better team today then they were two, three weeks ago.

Paul Oliver is a Cover 2 cornerback and maaaaaybe a safety down the road. We have a way bigger, faster, better corner in Antonio Cromartie. And Eric Weddle is a way better Safety than Oliver could ever hope to be.

I would be shocked if the Chargers take anyone at all. There is no room on the roster...its too deep and talented.

I think its a bit harder to control your temper when you have your friend in the passenger seat next to you. His buddy might have almost been hit by the rock, or at the very least Waters might have felt some responsibility to his friend to take an eye-for-an-eye.

We'll get them all resigned. Those guys are all committed to their team and to the fans of the Chargers.

Does this guy have any character concerns at all? I find it surprising he is still available.

I wouldn't mind the Chargers taking a look at Brown so that when Michael Turner leaves next season, we'll still have solid depth behind Tomlinson.
