Good graphics doesn't mean good console. I'll wait and see how the third party support goes before I order myself one. I'm not a fan of Mario, Zelda or any other of Nintendo's first party games so unless they're going to try and create some fresh IPs then I'm going to need to see something good coming in the way of third party exclusives.
I'm a huge Star Wars fan and normally anything with the Star Wars name is an instant buy for me. However, these point and shoot Kinect games don't do it for me at all. Surely a developer must've thought about letting the player hold an Xbox 360 controller along with Kinect to navigate their character with. I know it'd be slightly awkward to hold but it'd make a world of difference. Sadly, I fear Microsoft is too proud to abandon their "you are the controller" motto.
MW and MW 2 were amazing while World at War and Black Ops were terrible. Ever since key developers started dropping out of Infinity Ward I've lost complete faith in the COD franchise. I was never a big fan of Activision or Bobby Kotick so it's no real loss for me. I look forward to seeing what Respawn Entertainment will come up with but as far as COD goes, I think I'm done.
It didn't change anything. The game looks not much more than a point and shoot game mixed with a little Flower-style art for good measure. I love arty games like Flower but that looked like far too much of a shooter for my liking. Maybe I'm just missing something.
Honestly, I hate it when unique Japanese games like Resident Evil try to westernise themselves. I love variety in my games and Japanese games have always been refreshingly different from what America produces, especially during the age of the PS2. Looks like I'll pass on this one. Here's hoping Resident Evil 6 is a puzzle infused survival horror made by Capcom like all of their noteworthy games were.
Thanks for the sodding spoiler, Joystiq. I've been avoiding this all day. Most sites are understandable warning viewers of spoilers but you just go ahead and reveal it with a huge bloody mug shot as well. It wouldn't have taken half a brain to work out that some people may not want to know who the main villain in the next Uncharted game is, no matter how relevant it is to the game's story.
I honestly thought that trailer was mocking Kinect. When it showed gameplay there was nearly no movement of the on-screen cursors and absolutely no gunfire. Either way, it looked like a terrible game. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.
