In the filming of The Princess Bride, the final scene included the movies heroes riding away on white stallions.

The movie studio had a difficult time finding a white steed for the 500 pound Andre the Giant; after breaking the back and hospitalizing the largest white horse available in Hollywood, the director opted instead to paint a Clydesdale horse white for the final scene.

If you watch the end credits of the movie the familiar "No animals were harmed in the making of this film." note is not there, due to the unfortunate accident with Andre's first white horse.

If you had actually read the articles you linked to or any of the other numerous BBC iPlayer articles on the web you'd realize it's just another streaming video player you'll be able to access via the Wii Opera Browser.

That means that:

A:) PS3 users will be able to take advantage of the iPlayer as well.

and B:) Wii owners who have not paid for the web browser channel or downloaded it when it was free are SOL, since the Wii does not come with the Opera browser natively.
