This was really depressing me until I thought that they might make it about aliens that shoot asteroids at earth, which... *could* be good. But they need the Starship Troopers license for that, not Asteroids.
Also, that script was extremely painful to read. Great job.
I think I know a way to fix that. All it takes is a little imagination.
Let's say you see a trooper named "dude1337". It's his troop designation! You know, RC-1207 and all that. See a Wookiee named "apple4life"? Wookiees are a somewhat primitive culture, so it stands to reason they'd have food-related names (see: Chewbacca). A smuggler named "whitepower87"? He just supports the troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. If there's a Sith named "Darth_pwnicus", he is simply using an ancient (or in this game, modern) Sith tongue that hasn't been detailed to us players yet.
See? Just assume everyone is roleplaying (this method also works for Halo 3 matches, YouTube comments, and in fact most conversations with people in real life).
