Infil, excellent comments. The thing only has 256Megs of local video memory so if a BD is going to be filled up on a PS3 title, it sure as heck ain't going to be textures. I can see maybe a need for HD-DVD/BD capacity in PC's when video cards are 1Gig memory standard (I would love those sharp textures in Max Payne 2 with normal & specular maps), but the PS3 has a static amount of RAM (unless it will indeed be upgradeable like a PC, which would be a larger mistake than throwing in a BluRay drive and hoping the masses eat those 600 bones). I don't plan on watching 2+ hours of HD cutscenes in games, and I don't think anyone does either.
