Well my good chaps, whenever I settle myself in for a fierce good fight with my fellow electronic game participants, I don my purple velvet top hat with the 1337 written on it in gold letters. My fantastic white half tucked T-shirt and astounding leather black rhinestoned vest is what adorns my abdomen, With my Legend of Zelda pocket watch as a stylish accent to the ensemble, periwinkle cape, monocle and finely groomed mustache, I am now ready and properly clothed for my digital entertainment.

That's my thinking. The peripherals themselves are just input devices in the shapes of instruments. Can a regular 360, PS3, or Wii controller be considered a musical instrument? They do the same thing. Only difference is they're not shaped like guitars.

So if I understand this correctly, the USPTO has changed it's definition of what it considers a musical instrument. And in doing so, Harmonix hopes that it's peripherals don't fit the new definition.

If this is the case, what i wanna know is how can anyone really consider a Rock Band or Guitar Hero controller and actual instrument? They're obviously not.

I actually got to play this at Long Beach Comic Con. I didn't come off as "pretty difficult." Unlike Contra ReBirth which was right next to it. THAT game is beyond difficult. But New Super Mario Bros is good ol' fashioned platforming fun. Even better with more people. I'll definitely be getting this when it comes out.
