Wii Warm Up: Channels

Jan 22nd 2007 10:47AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Internet Browser
The fact that you have to use the on screen keyboard is the main reason that I don't use the internet browser. It takes too long (compared to using a computer) to navigate from site to site.

Weather Channel
It would be nice to see actual data on the globe view, rather than just the location. For example, if I want to see what sort of weather is headed my way, I have to click on a bunch of individual cities rather than just seeing a standard "high/low temp" number next to the city name. Additionally I'd like to see some sort of Doppler radar associated with it so I could see any precipitation headed my way as well.

Photo Channel
Don't use it. Don't plan on using it.

Mii Channel
Love it. When people come over they seem to have just as much fun creating Miis as they do playing the games (which is saying a lot since they LOVE the games, and most of them are previous non-gamers)

Shop Channel
The Shop Channel isn't that bad. I wish they would release more games for download (cough...Goldeneye...cough,cough), since most of the NES stuff up there is boring. Lets go big N, bust out some N64 titles already!

Wii Warm Up: Still getting in the game?

Jan 19th 2007 10:04AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Even though work keeps me busy (and away from my Wii), I've started getting up early everyday and getting in a half an hour of Wii Boxing. That guys Wii Sports workout experiment really inspired me, and the best thing is, it doesn't even feel like I'm working out.
