New details on Sensible Soccer for XBLA

this NEEDS to be played with an 8-way digital joystick with one button, as it was originally on the Amiga platform.

It'll never, ever be the same with a d-pad.

Classics I'd like to see on XBLA..

720°
Out Run (the original)
Toobin'
Power Drift
Thunder Blade
Kung Fu Master (though I admit it's tough without an 8-way stick)

I admit, I'm showing my age (32).

Paperboy breaks XBLA's window

Dragon's Lair? Why? It's just a series of Yes/ No decisions...

Paperboy made more sense when playing the original cab with handlebars. It never really made the translation to joystick/ d-pad type controls.

NoE confirms News Channel to be made better, faster

Jan 29th 2007 1:43PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
The thing is with this, and the same goes for the weather channel, is that for me (and i presume many others) there's never going to be a situation where flicking the tv to a news or weather channel won't be quicker than turning on the wii.

Wii Warm Up: Still getting in the game?

Jan 19th 2007 9:23AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Actually yeah.

I was speaking to a work colleague who asked me if I'd played any more Zelda, because I stopped playing it pretty much at the first temple. I have a few games for the Wii (Excite Truck, Red Steel, Elebits and Zelda) but they're all gathering dust. They all bore me quite frankly, but I think right now I am in a video game slump - nothing interests me right now.

But I will play the odd game of tennis. Now and then. It's great when I just want to throw something around for 10 minutes.

DS Daily: do you homebrew?

I do. I am just waiting for the day that the guys at SCUMMVM port their program for the kind of card system I have.
