@RichardMitchell true enough, but I would have thought two new high profile retail releases would have taken preference over a beta for a game thats not coming out until 2012. But thanks for responding, a new release segment would be good, you could even call it 'what are you playing' :P

I like the new format, but why is it so untopical? Why devote a show to the Diablo 3 beta when Gears of War 3 and Rage have come out in the last few weeks? I would love to hear team joystiqs thoughts on these big current releases.

I think this episode was better than the ones that came before it. I like the (slightly) more open topic, but I still think the focus of any given episode is too narrow. I like how Gamers with Jobs does it, they take a broader topic to talk about within the industry, rather than a particular game/ series. The trouble with a whole ep dedicated to one thing is if you arn't interested in that game, its the dullest thing ever to listen to.

Still, think the format is interesting, and has the capacity to turn into an essential weekly listen.

I can see them going the EA route and having a code in all new games for multiplayer access, but charging £10 for used copies...
