It will make them look better. It isn't about gameplay, but about how they look. That's why so many PC games look beautiful. They're on HD monitors.

You're wrong. They're making games for BOTH standard and high definition. If they were just for high def. I'd agree with you. And you don't need to be rich to have an HDTV, at least an average one. Nintendo simply is taking away the option of high def.

Even if Revolution has the graphics that PS3 and Xbox have on standard definition (which I doubt), it won't have high def. This makes me certain without a doubt that PS3 and Xbox 360 will have superior graphics. Also, so many next-gen games are being planned so far just for PS3 and Xbox 360. Revolution simply won't have the games PS3 and Xbox 360 have. It'll be much like the current generation except Revolution won't have the graphics to compare.

Nintendo themself has said there system won't be about horsepower and graphics capabilities, but to make an affordable console.

I never said any games were badly designed. I
said they were aging. It's true. Nintendo's big sellers are the games like Star Fox, Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. Even when a game isn't related to those characters, they slap one of those names on the game to make money. Look at Dinosaur Planet (which eventually became Star Fox Adventures), a game completely different and original but Nintendo decided to play it safe and make it a Star Fox game. And
btw, I have a Gamecube so I'm full aware of its abilities. Just about every title it seems comes out for Xbox and PS2 and not Gamecube. Nintendo plays it safe with those franchises they know make money and won't go into new territories. It's rare you see a
big seller Nintendo game without Mario on the title.

False information? As from IGN? It isn't a rumor. Nintendo has confirmed the Revolution won't have the graphics capabilities of the other consoles. It's going to be slightly better than an Xbox. That's
why it's going to be cheaper. Also, it doesn't support High-def. I don't want to play video games for the next 5 years on standard definition television. Nintendo is making a big mistake IMO to not
put in high-def, just like they made a big mistake having little (or none) online service for the Gamecube, and just like they did when they stuck with cartridges for the N64.

I'm not going to judge PS3 until I get all the details. I plan to buy a next gen console (not Revolution because so many of their franchises are aging and the graphics will basically be current-gen) and it will either be PS3 or Xbox 360. I'd certainly prefer the PS3 to be superior since it has full backwards compatibility (a feature I find painfully lacking in Xbox 360). It's hard to buy the Xbox 360 when it seems it will never be able to play games like Doom 3 and Far Cry, and I don't want to buy an original Xbox to play it. I feel Sony needs to launch their console in the next few months though to sway people from buying the 360, and a centralized online service is needed. Even if a centralized service isn't necessary, most people enjoy it so it's important in winning the next-gen console wars.

So overall the PS3 is actually smaller than the Xbox 360 by a few cm. I thought the PS3 would be bigger. At least none of them are as big as the Xbox was.

Will this be ported to the PS3? I keep hearing it will and it won't be.
