I'm going to go with the Orange Box for best deal. As said before, HL2 and HL2:ep1 bundled with TF2, Portal and HL2:ep2.
It's going to take a hell of a compilation to top that. Yeah, the compilation which contains those games and more tops it, but wasn't the point of contention whether the Orange Box was better than a pair of Nintendo compilations? Surely bringing in the Valve complete pack does nothing to Strengthen the Nintendo argument.
Problem is, the best way to work towards a win for the class you want is to play badly for the other class.
The more soldiers there are, the more likely any given kill by a demoman on the opposing side will be a soldier. So by playing badly of the opposing class, you increase the chances of any given soldier kill being a demoman (even without playing badly), while having a direct ability to not score points for the demoman class. Even more effective on servers with limits to the number of each class.
Enough to delay the beta way beyond their projected release. Enough to delay the announcement that the beta is delay because they have to change some stuff up, way beyond release.
I'd say that either: a.) They haven't been approached by other groups, in such a way that would result in a hosted panel on their subjects. b.) They -have- been approached, and turned down the opportunities.
In support of b (even though my money would go with a), it's easier for a publisher to address homophobia as bad, since much of the time there is less homophobia present in published games than, say, racism or sexism.
Amend the "speciality groups" with something like "zealous members of", and I'll agree with you. If you believe that hatred directed at a group should not be opposed, then you you are a bigger fool than you credit others with being.
There's a line. Often it's drawn too low, and it becomes a crusade, which I'll agree can be more of a problem than the perceived problem itself. However, there is a level of displayed hatred that is not acceptable, and should be opposed, not only by these "speciality groups".
