Dec 28th 2009 10:42PM The man speaks the truth. The single player genre is becoming one that needs online as an upmost necessity. Is this good or bad, it's difficult to say. Let's look at Bioshock 2 for example. Its predeccessor was single player with a few online features. Now, it's sequel has a full multiplayer experience right out of the box. Again, I don't know if this is good or bad. Should developers be focused more on story than online features? Probably. But then again, online components in singlepayer games like Demon Souls offer a very unique experience. So, like most things, it all depends on how it's given and executed.
