I pirated Far Cry, which I am very glad I did, because I sucked at it, and couldn't get very far at all, so I never played it. I had no problem deleting it from my computer, but had I payed $50 for it at launch, I woulda been burnt.

Most games I just buy. It's one luxury I afford myself. If I can, I'll wait 'til the price drops. I knew for a fact that GoW was going to go to the greatest hits, so I just waited it out, and purchased it at $20. Used games are awesome... kind of. I wish I could get my itradevideogames.com account to work.

These are the same people who would have disclaimers on science texts which include evolutionary theory. It really isn't necessary. Sure, gaming can be addictive, but televisions aren't sold with warning labels, neither are PCs or DAPs, they aren't drugs, just consumer products. I'd say that books don't contain warning labels but nobody seems to fucking read anymore. This just seems like fearmongering, friggin' old people.

Also, to Kamizar. I'm currently playing Final Fantasy Tactics on my PS2, having just finished Legend of Dragoon, so I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you trying to say that no one's going to go for Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on the Wii? Shame on whom?

By no means have 2D gaming graphics peaked. With more power comes more artistic license, as well as the ability to stay more true to concept than with previous consoles. To say that something has hit the glass ceiling only makes those who know better want to prove you wrong. You'll see.

Of course a fan of Family Guy wouldn't know who SNK is. Worthless attention deficient kids woulnd't know a good game if an cephalopodan alien race dropped it on your vapid heads.

Normally, I would agree with you, look at what Industrial Light and Magic did for technology in a myriad of different sectors. To say that a game developer has nothing to offer outside the industry is shortsighted.

But then, we must look at Jaffe himself whose brain is a shit factory propagator of our modern "extreme lifestyle" dilemma. I'll skip over the craptacular Twisted Metal series and jump into dangerous waters with God of War: the game was fun, I'll give him that, but I was constantly insulted by playing it. Three way mini game? I did it, but only because it popped red souls. I was emberrased for him and his undoubtedly sad, artless and sexless life relegated to watching violent tentacle anime porn all day long while thinking up new ideas for video games. I felt no emotion during the game aside for stupidity at the fact that I continued to play the damn game no matter how many discoloured bare breasts and over the top violent imagery to which I was subjected. It's the same reason we went from the beautifully executed Sands of Time to the super stubbly Two Thrones. I guess that's the reason I'll play Shadow of the Colossus over and over, but haven't picked up God of War since I beat it.
