Microsoft and Sony enter a partnership to merge their next gen consoles into one. This will give the consumer a single device capable of running all XBox360, and the entire PS line of games, on a single unit, as well as being able to support both HD DVD and Blu-Ray.
The new console, dubbed The PlayBox 720, will be released by the end of 2007, with an estimated street price of only 1200.00. A total world wide distribution of 1000 units will occur (with 800 in the US, and 200 in Japan).
It will come bundled with one controller, power cable, and composite video cable. HDMI and component cable not included. Batteries for controller not included.
