Disagree, more like all their previous release on HD console prior to FF13 tarnished their reputation and FF13 and FF14 just further cemented that Square Enix is no Square Soft and Enix.

Remember...The Last Remant, Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean 4? Countless other DS and PSP games before that?

Did it lit up the sale? Did people flock to them?

Even Gem like TWEWY was overlooked.

Then again you got the trend of JRPG going DOWNHILL in term of sales. FF13 was the only one making major sales.

Most Square Enix fans didn't know former father of FF did Lost Odyssey, most of my friend never heard bout the game, sad.

@TheKbob I would said that the last 9% of the trophies will take 20-80 hours to get lol.

Personnally I got 91% trophies in 80 hours of games, finish the game in 60 hours. Stop playing at 100 hours after 20 hours of grinding...that was long uneeded, farming platinum ingots is no fun at all.

The game actually was great surprised for me, it turn much more than expected and I love the game.

AGREE that no way to view cinematic was a shame...i found a way to do it while playing the game...saving after the end of each chapter, so i can reload it next time. I musta have like 50 saves for FF13...too bad It got whipped out when my ps3 died...

FF12, my friend you must play it! I hope it port in HD!

You know what even bad now, they admitted that the Square Enix team will focus mainly on FF, KH and DQ....I think they haven't milk it well enough yet, people still want more FF remake.

We can agree on one thing, Square Enix is nowhere near as legendary as Square Soft and Enix but they know godamm well how to make cinematic!!!

Before FF10-2, there was no FF official sequel. Then you get the flood of FF7 prequel and sequel. You get FF12-2 on DS, FF13-2 coming soon.

Shoulda focus more time and money on making games that people actually care and will buy.

Back on SNES and PS1, almost all Square Soft games are classics.

Nowaday, seeing a Square Enix logo....you can't be certain till you play....

You got a point there for number can be meant anything. Economist can spin any number to their avantage, goes to apply for anything.

In the end, only we, can determine if the game is good.

My first initial impression of FF13 was BAD. I didn't want to buy it at launch then a friend convince me to get it. I was like....mmm that review of 5 on 10 is a bit harsh, it can't be that Superman 64 bad can't it???

Buying it...open plastic, insert disk...playing...stopping after 100 hours.

So how can i know if the game is good or not without playing? One friend, she HATE the game very much. Another big fans of the series, hate it too. But a lot of my friend, LOVE it.

In cosplay convention, i notice a lot of FF13 cosplay in general. Same apply for FF8 that I felt been bashed a lot on the net too, lot of cosplayers. Why would you want to cosplay characters that are supposely bad and lame design, unless of course you love their design and enjoy their storyline.

But agree, numbers meant nothing in the end, I enjoy lot of badly reviewed games and didn't enjoy some highly reviewed games.
