This just in: 24M out of 25M isn't ALL of 25M, and 1M is more than enough to live a cozy life. Most people do it on 50-100K, no reason they can't do it on 10 times that number.


The fact is these people are greedy and if you can't see that then I pity you. Though, if you can see it and think that thats ok as long as they make small percent donations every once and a while then I am disgusted by you.

And for that matter, George Clooney's net worth per year is an estimated $25M, so he donated 4% of last years earnings. Wonderful, wonder what he's going to do with that other $24M. If you're wondering, the national average wage for 2008 is $41,334.97. Someone do the math on what percent that is of MR Clooney, because even I can see that it's a lot less than 4%.

And yet they sit in their million dollar homes eating hundred dollar foods wearing thousand dollar one time dresses using gold seated toilets and 100 dollar bills as their paper while the Haitian people make pennies a day, the american people make a fraction of what the celebs make, and their are thousands, if not millions, of homeless people in america and around the world.

Let me know when you find a celebrity who lives in a $100k-$300k home, drives an average car, eats average food at average restaurants, and wears clothes that you find at the local mall or department store and donates the rest to charity.


I dare you to find one celebrity like that. Those people could fund the reconstruction of Haiti and still have enough money to survive better than most. Instead they donate "large sums" and then try to use their fame to weasel us, the working class people, out of our hard earned money. Excuse me for expecting a human to have higher standards then to try and save their soul with pennies of their worth.

The point is these celbrities live the high life while people in Haiti make pennies an hour, while people around the world make a faction of what the celebs make. They have no right to ask for donations to Haiti, and they have no right to pretend they care.

I mean seriously, its not like any of those shit celebrities actually cared about Haiti, they just wanted to get some + public rep. If they did care they'd stop shitting in their gold plated toilets, stop eating caviar and 5 course meals, and stop living homes worth more than the whole country of Haiti.
