while i have a pc controller, i'm still not a fan of a pc platformer..why no wii release? seems perfect to me

I might end up picking it up on steam, even though i'd much prefer wiiware

Bloomberg: Palm is up for sale

Apr 12th 2010 5:32AM (Engadget)
I can imagine htc is a bit annoyed with how tight microsoft is controlling what you can do with the hardware/software of win 7 mobile, so buying palm for webos would certainly solve that problem, get a good os, not be restricted by microsoft, and have everything from the hardware to the os all done in-house..sounds win/win to me

Steve Jobs responds directly to developer over new iPhone SDK rules, cites blog for explanation

I can see the valid reasons for the argument, i mean how often do we complain about cruddy ports of games to the pc or any other system? Having a program run in native code also means the os doesn't have to waste time porting that code to something it knows (like java vm) and I suppose the idea of just an 'export to iphone' for any kind of code would remind mac users of cider-ported games..a quick hack-job to make it work rather than well written code for a platform.

While multitasking on the 3gs/late third gen touch does certainly stink (as a second gen touch user) it could be as simple as a lack of resources for apple to comfortably let it happen (the 3gs does have double the ram of the 3g after all, and a speed bump)

as for developers, adapt or be left behind, eventually you all had to stop coding for dos and start working on windows after all

HP and Dell said to be investing less in 10-inch netbooks, looking to bigger and better things

down with the netbook, up with amd! my hp athlon neo laptop..64 bit cpu, win 7-x64, 4gb ram and a low end (but still better than anything intel) dedicated radeon 3450 with 512mb ddr2, runs ut 2k4 great, and torchlight runs perfectly fine too @ native res (and mine's only single core)

FirstView's $95 Android / Windows CE PC607V tips a craptablet iceberg at CeBIT

Mar 6th 2010 10:08AM (Engadget)
a $95 price, it is certainly attractive for a simple web browsing tablet, though i can't help but wonder of build quality and how optimized the os would be for the hardware..but i thought wince was long-dead? Much better with android
