I work at Gamestop and have the CE preordered so from what I understand it's still coming out Nov. 11 or at least our computer still lists it even though we're not taking preorders on it anymore. In the past this has happened when we had a really limited number and we got a lot of preorders and were worried about making sure to fill all of them.

I work for Gamestop and frankly it makes me sad to read this on Joystiq. It seems to be in fashion to bash on Gamestop when in reality most of the people doing it still shop there. Yes, as stated in the article, we sell games "without boxes" meaning we take in trades without boxes and make the generic cover art. Of course since this is obviously written without any knowledge of working at said store you don't realize that we as employees hate doing that. I personally feel like it cheapens the look of our store. I don't want to work in a flea market but I don't have a choice because 90% of people don't care enough to hold onto the game cases. Also as stated before, yes we HAVE to ask you for reserves and subscriptions. If we fail to meet or numbers it's not just us that get's fired but also the ASM, who is solely responsible for reserve numbers. Remember that when you don't reserve a game that you plan to pick up on day 1 anyway since it doesn't cost you anything extra AND you get bonus stuff with it. It's whiny crap like this that makes me hate working at Gamestop. The reason the staff at the stores seems rude is because we have to deal with this stuff every day. I know all retail is like this but you go into work every day where you make minimum wage, get no respect, then have to deal with entitled brats like this every day and see if you aren't a little bitter. Anyway /rantover go ahead and commence the insults towards me, I don't care, I'm sure I'll see some of you tomorrow at work.
