creepy - I just did a recitation of "The Lovesong of J Alfred Prufrock" (by T.S. Eliot) on the weekend, so the reference was fresh in my mind this morning!

Wii Health. I can totally see myself working out in front of the Wii.

I walked into a retailer at 10:30AM on launch day and bought a console plus Wii Play for the extra controller and minigames. It was no struggle at all. I would have enjoyed the party atmosphere of being on line, but sadly I had to work that day.

It was really hard waiting with the unit tucked under my desk all day!

I modified the way I say the word to get it to recognise. Same with trying different ways of writing numbers to speed math answers.

For anyone who used a Palm Pilot back in the old days, changing the way you write things for a single device is no biggy. I'm just glad I don't have to use the word blue a lot in real life. I could have really embarrassed myself if I worked for a skywatcher's group.

They're both great games, but Ouendan is more game-like, Phoenix is more movie-like, so I'd pick Ouendan, by a whisker.

But I'd cry if I had to choose, really.

Resident Evil DS:

I failed to notice that this game has the same horrible controls as all the old RE games, and thankfully tried before I bought. Saved myself some big money that day! It's as bad as every RE game before they went to proper controls (RE4 GCN I think)

Demos means one thing: More sales of quality games.

Crummy games will push fewer units, and people won't just buy based on a review from IGN but based on real experience. I hated ResEvil DS, and was SO GLAD I got to play a demo of it first.

But there are a lot of games I missed that I'd buy if I tried them and liked them.

More games for me - I won't buy a game without trying it which is why my VC has zero games bought.

I was playing Pokemon Diamond all weekend.

Seriously. And painting the Library. And I'm 30.
