I think this is the case as well. Pretty sure Wardell is founder, primary owner, and CEO of Stardock.

Yep. Originally it was a way to download and update Gal Civ and WindowBlinds. A few years ago they opened it up to other developers and now it's been growing - Stardock decided they didn't want to be in that business, so they're going back to games (and now probably have the money to actually put something out considering how bad Elemental bombed).

Why bother with BD-Rs when you can write a program to load ISOs and sign it with Sony's key? Just need an external HDD (or direct to console downloads) then...

No side effects from root unless you use a crappy ROM. If nothing else, you can run dead stock and flash one of the kernels that remove the FPS cap with no ill effects.

Dead stock Froyo has been out for a whole 2 weeks. I'm really surprised any of the Sense devices are getting it this soon...

Really? Impulse is even less intrusive than Steam, and you really need to have both these days so you don't miss any deals.

We don't know what anyone else is going to have by Q2 2011 - if these are the only Android phones AT&T is getting by then, then it's still a pretty anemic selection.

They've been doing OTA updates on the Pre. I don't think any of Sprint's Android phones have been updated yet, though.
