My brother is the man holding that camera...he does most of the video production at Red Storm...lots of trips to specialty Gun makers and "testing fields".

I know that SMG/Dual-clutch transmissions are faster and therefore better purely for the drag strip.

Does anyone know if they are sequential though (that is what I thought at least).

I drive a 2004 Boxster S Limited Edition w/ a 6-speed. I gotta tell you, I usually drive skipping every other gear because they are sooo short. 1-3-6, 1-3-5, (from a roll it would be 2-4-6).

I skip plenty of gears all the time because I'm not goosing it to the red light every time. It seems like with the paddle shifters you'll be forced to use every gear and therefore wear the clutch and tranny out quicker than normal. Plus it's less convenient.

Am I nuts or has anyone else thought about this?

Well...while my surround sound only cost 3x more than my t.v. literally (42" Panny plasma), I got all of my equipment while working at Circuit City so I purchased all of my audio equipment at least half off....which means I really spent around 6x I guess.

I don't even consider myself and audiophile... I only listen to mp3 music (320kbps...but still mp3)...no Flac or Obb vorbis or god forbid wave....

Furthermore I don't have LP's or tube amps with dedicated 2.0 monitors (I mean the big ones too, not studio monitors)...

So while I love music....movies and games are where it is for me, and event though I spent way more on audio, it doesn't mean that you even then are an audiophile imo
