Bad news is M.A.G. in it's beta form does nothing to sway me from c.o.d.4. It needs more than to scream 256! which is cool, but, graphics and gameplay (or replay) isn't there. The game as is in NO way will rival a HALO, KZ2, COD4, COD5, S.O.C.O.M.

this game would be soooooooooo much better as a download-able option than, to have to get up and swap out type. would be good to bundle this w/eye like headset was bundled w/socom. but hey at least there will be sells figures for it.

would be great if people could watch sony's events live(as is happening, not recorded and played back) in one of their HOME spaces.

just picked up refurb 360 today! thought socom would be my pick up game throughout summer but geeeesh! feels like someone really messed up and are trying to wait the socom community out. for anyone thinking of getting it i'd advise u look a boards @ socom.com. Also getting tired of the hobbled browser and fractured, HOME, which should be advertised as free (dinky) gaming w/console. Cashed in most my patience on SONY for 360... still waiting on a few....sniff/a tear

Socom shouldve been sony's flagship game for holidays 2008 w/headset, if not for such a premature release(YYYYY?! u had a beta!!!). This shouldve been the game compared to gears/halo, though distinctive by being more of a sim to cod4's arcade/chaotic like play(loved it too). Besides there is no other game on the ps3 that gives you the chance to really play like a team w/friends as the 360 has touted for sooo long now.

Next time you're in a fps just think of how close the gameplay is to simply playing with bots! with no a.i. except for a few idiots/newbies a THIRD person shooter like this is still something to be experienced.

Now we just have stay ALIVE until a freaking good patch comes!!

an officially backed ps3 media server (maybe even ps3mediaserver) should be the FIRST application of this! (hopefully they'll duplicate netflix/360 workaround without wasting 40bucks on half-assed playon server). followed by psp cam, playtv, etc

i agree with the previous responses with the exception of hulu played pretty damned good for me. here's the real deal though, while dishing out fw every so often sony should keep an eye out for this and make what can be, BE! why does the psp have skype and internet radio tuner? not much but would be another bonus for the ps3. thank goodness for "ps3mediaserver" and others,without them ps3 would be alot less of a media center. would be smart on their part to atleast rec preferred progs for this. Playtv is now alot more poss thanks to digital conversion of free to air channels, hey! bundle it with an hd radio tuner?! do something other than advertise things a year or 2 away (ex gow3, really hope it proves worth the wait) because the only thing i've been assured of lately is this very well the LAST gen of (console) gaming for me.
