Meh this is nothing new. Layoffs occur after the project is finished since they over hire for crunch, and it usually consists of the QA team. Nothing new here, move along.

Also, their lack of focus on original IP has really hurt Activision in the long run. While they have studios under Activision have developed new IPs, none of them have the marketing focus that the other franchises have received. EA, Take 2, and even Namco Bandai have at least made the effort to create new quality IPs that allow some wealth of content.

With all these layoffs, I feel this is kinda Activision's own doing. After all, they've relied too much on releasing yearly updates of franchises. I think the next to fall will be the CoD series.

What pisses me off the most is that they cut hours from stores to the point that only the managers are working, and they barely have enough hours to even keep the store open. They cut customer service in stores in half so they could bring their profits up.
