Aaaand... Nintendo owns my wallet. This conference had pretty much everything I hoped for (including the things that I didn't think would happen).

I got to see Zelda footage (and I trust that it will be more polished before it comes out), Epic Mickey, a new Kirby game... I'm quite the happy gamer. Totally worth zoning out at work for an hour.

I'm glad the PS2 is still selling. Mine still gets a lot of gaming time, and I just convinced a friend to buy one instead of mooching off of mine.

They only did it once, and then my sister had to start buying her own consoles. :) So my house had two Gamecubes, two PS2s, etc.

Anyway, I live in the Northeast, so maybe girls around me just game more? It wasn't that odd for me growing up, and most of my friends had an SNES or a Sega Genesis.

Really? My parents had to buy two consoles because me and my sister constantly fought over who got to play, and my friends and I had a lot of sleepovers involving Mario Kart and Super Mario World. I didn't think girls having video games consoles was that unusual?

Ugh, DLC. This was the first PS3 game I bought (yeah, I know, late to the game) and I was really enjoying it up until the big blinking arrows going "Missing scenes! Insert DLC here!"

Yeah, other games have scenes cut out due to time constraints, but I can't think of any that I played that felt as obvious as this. I barely support $60 games, but now they want me to pay nearly $70 for it? No thanks.

So... I still have a 15+ year old SD TV that's big, heavy, and boxy. Guess I'm kinda behind the times on this one?

Mostly nice.

I wish! That was the best $15 I ever spent. I've shared that game with at least five other people who wanted to go buy their own copy after and then found out how high the price for it can get.
