@Rollins I cannot fathom why you would want split-screen in a racing simulator.

If you're considering getting a Fanatec 911 wheel you might as well go all the way and get the Clubsport Pedals. The load cell brake and build quality are better than any consumer level pedals on the market. If you already own both consoles the 911 GT2 wheel, whenever it's back in stock, (or a used 911 Turbo S wheel), will work with both so you don't have to limit yourself to one game if you want some variety. It is expensive but if you enjoy sim racing on consoles that much it's worth the investment. Just make sure you also have some kind of wheel stand or a very stable table to clamp the wheel onto.

This means I have a month to beat ACII which I still haven't gotten around to playing despite owning it for over a year.

That said, I've only ever play AC on consoles. How does the PC version compare other than, I'd hope, better graphics?

Stunning, in a good way. The more I look at it the more I like it. Now if there were only some desktop size, i.e. 1920x1200, resolution images of it.

I have a Turbo S wheel and the Clubsport pedals, and while they are fantastic and worth the money it is currently out of production. It's been replaced by the GT2 wheel which was just released, and is available for pre-order.
