I did not.
I know it's a joke. It's just I didn't find it particularly funny.
Don't get me wrong, I've been in the "Final Fantasy is no good anymore" camp for some time now. I've felt it's needed some serious updating and tweaking to grab more current generation of gamers.
I'll also admit that there are troublesome business practices in the game industry that cost the players a bunch of money for less of an experience, and that needs to be addressed,
I guess on some level, I was just disappointed in what the article actually ended up being. Instead of a valuable commentary on the failing popularity of a once great gaming franchise and providing well informed feedback, it makes unfunny jokes at the expense of the fans and industry practices.
It feels like a disgruntled NeoGAF forum goer decided they would try to be incredibly clever, but ultimately turned into a passive aggressive bitch fest.

There really is some value in deconstructing what works and what's broken for Final Fantasy these days. What made it big and popular in it's day, isn't exactly pulling in new players these days.
There is good content there to explore. I really would have preferred if you had gone into that, instead of passive aggressively insulting the game industry and its fans.

Tell you what, you tell me one similarity between SOCOM and Skyrim besides that they are in first person, and you might have point.
