Zynga's paid $300 per new user in the past nine months, says analyst

I don't know how anyone at Zynga didn't see this coming, pretty sure even Michael Pachter saw this coming.

@Shadowbender

Sorry, but I'm actually in a similar situation as you. Very interested in trying out the Hydra, but not ready to buy one as I don't play many PC games. I tried looking for it at PAX Prime, but was pre-occupied by other things.

This game looks like it would work well with the Razor Hydra controller that the Portal 2 DLC uses. Anyway I'll probably pick up this game at some point looks pretty fun.

Are they playing "The Floor Is Lava" at 0:46 ?

IGF finalists Smash a Frozen Fez To the Moon (from a cave)

@Clockw0rk

But that does happen in the film industry. IGF is more like a film festival, such as Sundance or Cannes, rather than the Oscars which is more akin to the British Academy Video Game Awards.

Pulp Fiction was awarded the Palme d'Or at Cannes 6 months before it's general release.

Tour the killing fields of Modern Warfare 3's first DLC with latest media

Hey guys I'm actually really psyched for this Season Of Content. A entire Season Of Content, wherein we will gradually be feed content throughout the season. SEASON. OF. CONTENT. Picture this, content delivered to YOU throughtout the length of time a TV season would be aired.

Just to reiterate to people this is a SEASON OF CONTENT. Not an episode of content, not a one off christmas special of content, not even a 3-part miniseries of content, but a full blown SEASON OF CONTENT

Xbox 360 now at 66 million worldwide, Kinect at 18 million

@leobebes

I was going to post a long comment on my views of this gen, but you have pretty much summed it up. I just through this in; I believe the PS3 will end up outselling the 360 when all is said and done this generation, but there is no denying Sony didn't perform as well as they probably should have, which is evident in their drop in marketshare.

I feel MS are primed to become the top dog next gen with all the foundations they are putting into place at the end of this gen, and Sony are going to be the underdogs. But Sony blew away the competition once already, they can surely do it again.

Bethesda settles all Fallout IP related lawsuits

Jan 9th 2012 5:50PM (Joystiq)
I'm not entirely sure whether Interplay had actually begun work on the game, but do they have to give all code related to the project over to Bethesda or just the assets that would distinguish it as a Fallout game?

Basically could they re-skin the work they have done up to this point and still be allowed to release it ?

PS3 video-editing app PlayMemories Studio potentially leaked ahead of CES

Jan 8th 2012 5:34PM (Joystiq)
The name "PlayMemories" is confusing me a bit here. Is this a video capture tool built into XMB that allows gameplay recordings or just an app to edit shot from a camera edited on the PS3 ?

PAX East three-day badges 90% sold

Jan 7th 2012 4:23PM (Joystiq)
@Shadowbender

If you have the finances for PAX Prime I'd highly recommend going. My time at Prime was awesome last year and going is probably one of the greatest ideas I've had in my life.
