It's not really a new announcement; Wild Strike was revealed as one of the new abilities that's going to be exclusive to Fury warriors in MoP back at BlizzCon last year.

I should win because I've been itching to get back into Rift since I canceled my sub a few months ago due to time constraints. Now that I'm going to have free time again I would love to spend it in Rift. :)

Bioware hints at the future of Dragon Age DLC and 3

Aug 31st 2011 4:05AM (Joystiq)
@alzeer Mike Laidlaw admitted on the BW forums that most of the problems with DA2 were a result of a rushed development cycle which was determined by EA. Yes, there were clearly certain design decisions that fans simply didn't take kindly to, but there are many issues that could have been fixed if the game had been given a longer development cycle. Also, Bioware flourished as a developer long before they were ever apart of EA. It would be silly to imply that EA has ever had any responsibility for their success as a developer or to pretend that EA's "design philosophies" haven't affected their recent releases and their stance on DLC as a whole.

Bioware hints at the future of Dragon Age DLC and 3

@Wizardsofwaverly BioWare has multiple studios that handle their own individual projects (ME, DA, TOR, etc). The reason for the dubious quality of DA2 was not due to a lack of focus; it was the result of EA wanting a quick turnaround for a sequel to a game that was in development for over four years and had over 100 hours of content. When you spend less than two years developing a sequel to a game the size of DA:O, you're just asking for trouble.

@Graill440 "What a truly ignorant thing to do. In one simple statement they lost a large number of potential subscribers."

Well then I guess it's a good thing that there's no subscription fee.

@Anticrawl Platinum is an independent developer. They have a four-game publishing deal with Sega (Vanquish is set to be the last), but that's it.
