Do you ignore the audio in movies and only read the subtitles? I think you are missing the point. The audio dialogue is meant to convey how the authors want to tell the story. There isn't always great dialogue, but there are some that do convey emotion. The storyteller wants you to understand the story from their perspective.
You aren't playing a newsfeed. So stop expecting that exact thing. If you don't like listening to dialogue, why on earth would you ever play a game which is solely based on just that?
Well said. Finally someone with an objective view on things. Too many people quick to spout out their negativity. Nice to hear someone with some sense now and then.
"Take it from someone who has experience in a lot of MMO's, SWTOR isn't worth a monthly fee."
You seem to be good at spouting out your opinion as fact. You are entitled not to like it. If someone else likes it, it's not your place to bash them for it. Just because you are like the standard hater train rider that loves to put down anything that doesn't meet your personal standards, doesn't mean people can't like that same game.
@Maseno "They pumped the hype wagon so hard that it broke"
Hey, welcome to pretty much every game on the market, kiddo. That's what marketing is. Tell me how many games have lived up to the hype? Very few (Skyrim). It's rare. But that's marketing. You have to hype it up. Check out any commercial on TV. It's ridiculous how every product is overly hyped.
Another overly opinionated douchebag. For one, WoW is a clone of every other MMO before it's time. SWTOR had one idea in mind, and that was to smooth a transition from WoW to SWTOR for the people that left WoW. It makes a lot of sense, from a business perspective. Also, why introduce a totally new and alien interface to people, increasing the learning curve tenfold? Doesn't make sense for any business.
As a User Experience Designer, I can understand that for most businesses, you don't reinvent the wheel, you perfect it. SWTOR took many aspects from WoW, sure, but to call them a copy, not at all. There are several improvements that have been made over WoW, that just make the game that much better (for some of us, at least). There are also some things that I miss from WoW that aren't present in SWTOR (Dungeon Finder, etc).
Being an adult means liking a game without having to hate the opposition just to like that game. Learn to be an adult, kid.
Overly-opinionated babble. Plenty of 'critters' in every zone I have been in. Higher quality art and environments than WoW. 'Lifeless environments'..... really? How so? Because every 'environment' I have ever been in for the last 7 years in WoW has been pretty dull and boring.
Your opinions are just that. Opinions. And opinions are like a**holes....
