The Summer of Boycotts

May 9th 2009 7:33PM (Cinematical)
I can understand most of the boycotts but the Harry Potter one is just too stupid. Don't see a film until much later than you can because you didn't get to see it earlier?

Trailer Park: The Taking of Bruno's Powdery Fame

I'm pretty sure that name was just made up by someone over at defamer and the media went wild with it.

Battlestar Galactica: Daybreak, Part 2 (series finale)

well the only people that could get to tory and tyrol in time were the Tighs. Both of whom saw what Tory did to Cally.

Who's Directing The 'Twilight' Sequel This Week?

Mar 9th 2009 7:06PM (Cinematical)
Sofia Coppola! Don't big blockbuster adaptations always work best when it's art house meets big budget? See: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and The Dark Knight.

Final 'X-Men: Origins Wolverine' Trailer Online!

Did anyone else think some of those F/X shots looked extremely bad? Hopefully it's not done.

The Geek Beat: Watchwomen

Mar 3rd 2009 8:18PM (Cinematical)
I was watching the Brothers & Sisters 2-hour event on sunday and I saw a trailer for watchmen. Now B&S is clearly a female skewing show so I was shocked to see a watchmen trailer. However, I quickly realized why it was there. I was watching the Silk Spectre II character trailer. Genius.

Watch This: 'Oscar Spoilers in 5 Minutes'

Shakespeare in Love was the superior film. Yes, the first scene of Saving Private Ryan was brilliant but the screenplay was horrible and the film fell apart in the last 45 minutes. Shakespeare in Love on the other hand was brilliant from start to finish. I'm not having this argument because you won't change your mind and I won't change my mind.

Babe was nominated for best picture because it was a brilliant film and should have won. Shakespeare in Love worse than Elizabeth and Life is Beautiful? Please. You can make an argument for the other two.

Battlestar Galactica: No Exit

Feb 14th 2009 3:04PM (AOL TV)
Daniel is clearly not someone we've met before. There is no reason for them to resort to an insulting name/sex switch (same thing on LOST). Daniel being the father of one of the characters we've met, now that's something that is possible.

Will Heigl and Knight really leave Grey's? Please?

Feb 11th 2009 4:36PM (AOL TV)
I think the whole Heigl pulling out of the emmys was way overblown. She knows how the emmys like to nominate and award the years previous winners despite the performances they had that year. Her dropping out surely helped Dianne Wiest get nominated (and eventually win).
