I sat and played the game yesterday almost all the way through in one sitting (ten hours). Yes, parts of it get monotonous. For some people it can get a little infuriating when someone randomly drops a puzzle on you. But that's the whole point of the game- it's an excuse plot for massive, ungodly amounts of brainteasers. And with that in mind, I would just like to announce that I frickin' LOVED the game. Although the parrot minigame pissed me off entirely too much.
The story is good, predictably unpredictable as it is. The series caters to a very specific audience- puzzle fiends and people that generally don't give a damn about quality. They just want their minigames. (Or in my experience, those are the people that love it the most.) Hard-core gamers generally HATE what I consider some of the most ingenious games I've ever played.
Oh... my... god... I've never had a chance to play Phoenix before because my boyfriend takes FOREVER to finish with his copies of the game.. This.. is ... EPIC!
My boyfriend and I both have a iPod Touch (2G), and I downloaded 3.1 the second it was released. I haven't had any problems...yet.
But my boyfriend's iPod bricked when he tried to install it. The funeral is tomorrow... you're all invited. His response: "YES! I have an excuse to get a Zune!"
Wow. I really love how NO ONE read the rules.. and half the comments were posted before the contest even started. That really bugs me. But now that I think about it, is there a place where it actually says we're supposed to write down "any comment," or did we all just assume? I tried skimming the rules, but I have an empty stomach, and my brain is too fried to read. Oh well. I went to the page, saw no instructions.
