I would be sorry to see Guitar Hero go if not for the bastardized form it had become. Now I'm looking forward to picking up a guitar peripheral on the cheap for me to use with Rock Band. Unfortunately my Guitar Hero 3 Les Paul is finally dying and I hadn't bought another (RB or GH) since. On the negative side though I am sad to see anyone in the industry get laid off like this. Neversoft did a respectable job given the limitations put upon them. Hopefully they'll get back on their feet soon.

I would totally be interested in a television service on xbox live (without a subscription raise, that is), but I'm glad Conan's show wasn't used as a guinea pig for the service. Thinking of Microsoft's other projects (Game Room, 1 vs 100) that were deserted for no reason or in Game Room's case were never given much support from Microsoft, I'm glad that I don't have to see my favorite late night host take the same gamble.

This depresses me. Instead of crafting exquisite experiences for players that differ from most other games, this guy will now be the dude who helps port Angry Birds to Xbox.

I really don't think it's the economy, I think Disney just decided games aren't instantly profitable like they thought they would be and decided to give up. I really hope Black Rock gets a chance to be picked up by someone else, though. I also hope they get to keep making kick ass games like Split/Second.

I just re-purchased an NES last week (been wanting to since mine broke years ago) and I've been building a collection. Metal Gear was the first game I bought. Found it for a dollar, and it even came with the dust cover and original game manual. Anyway, it doesn't really play as well as the MGS series, but it seemed kinda neat. I feel asleep.
