The Republicans were in charge for 8 years and they failed at military spending and upgrading our military for the 21st century. One word, BUSH! Bush was in power during 9/11. Bush has a much worse record then Obama does when it comes to Americans dying in terrorist attacks. You blame everything on the left but the right was in power for 8 years and 6 of those years they controlled Congress. Both parties are to blame but you are too blind to see.

Obama has been in office for 1 year. Bush was in office for 7 years. Obama has nothing to do with the fact that during the 8 years of Bush we failed horribly at upgrading our military systems. If the GOP was so good at security, why didn't Bush overhaul our whole defense budget to actually defeat terrorists? Bush gave all his Haliburton and Blackwater friends huge contracts to build unusable buildings. The GOP failed at defense spending.
