Robert Kirkman talks The Walking Dead, shows gameplay, is charming

@Coriakin Based on the video I just watched above that is a pretty bold lie. All of the combat appears to be QTE based. Even if it only appears in combat, that is probably the worst place for it to be.

BF3: Close Quarters devoid of Rush mode, introduces Conquest Domination

So Battlefield becomes Battleyard, or Battlestreet.

WTF Dice. I play Battlefield because it is huge and has vehicles. If I want cramped maps and shitty spawning I can always pop in MW.

Nielsen: Streaming usage on consoles is up, adding to total console usage

Unfortunately, along with increase in streaming we're seeing ISPs reel in on data limits. Where I live COX, the only high-speed available, has just instituted hard limits on data. I have a 200GB/month cap. On a TV that is shared between three people that limit is hit pretty quickly on Netflix alone. Streaming services cut into their bottom line (cable TV) so despite the fact that data costs them pennies per GB they are limiting our access. So far they have not cut me off, despite breaching that gap ever month. But I have heard reports of it happening in larger cities.

There will be a war coming soon. With everyone getting used to being able to stream these movies anytime they want, what is going to happen when the ISPs only allow us to stream 10 or 15 a month? If my daugher watches a single cartoon every day we'd be lucky to last the month before our internet is cut off.

EverQuest 2 going free-to-play (again)

@Snadados If you join a Guild then the Free tier is fine up until about level 45-50 (out of 90). At that point you will outgrow your wallet. That should give you plenty of time to decide whether you want to invest any money in the game.

Then a flat one-time fee of $5 and you will be set all the way up to 90. The only reason to go Gold is if you plan on being in a raid guild or you just really have to have the absolute best spells and equipment.

There seems to be some confusion in the post, and I don't blame you Griffon, most people are confused by the constantly changing pay-to-play ladder EQ2 has had lately.

Silver is a $5 one time flat fee and is a pretty good deal. It removes or reduces the worst restrictions and opens you up to 95% of the game.

Also, the Extended version was not browser based, it was a stand-alone streaming client. You have to download the whole game on a download-as-needed basis.

For anyone wondering EQ2 is now WAY more streamlined. Expect to level and get where you need to go much faster that in previous years. As someone who played this came at launch and sporadically in between I feel EQ2 at its best right now.

Rumor: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012's first DLC pack revealed

@Cutty17 Man I've been totally disappointed with Jace's deck. If I want to play a creature deck I'll play green. Blue is all about playing mind games with your opponent. They dropped the ball on that deck.

@Mr Esc is the namesarcasm is my
I don't see how the unhinged/unglued cards could possibly work in anything but the real game. Too many of the cards require you to do stupid things physically.

Test your Ace Combat: Assault Horizon endurance with 10 minutes of footage

@Kasiniare That is great news. The control scheme in the demo sucks!

@(Unverified) I think what he is trying to say is that all previous Ace Combat games have NOT been modern iterations of over-the-top arcade flight games. While the physics have not been realistic, they have been grounded in realism. Think of it as realism with a +1 to awesomeness.

AC:AH on the other hand looks like a mission replay from AC6 stuck on fast forward. Physics aside the combat looks absolutely nothing like the slower paced technical dogfighting of previous games. It is an obvious attempt to move in on whatever territory HawX took over when it came out.

Being a huge fan of previous iterations this one is looking pretty iffy to me, but if I can select an expert flight mode instead of the "auto-roll" control scheme show in this demo, it is a buy for me.
