Hmm, is this really a question? The SNES platformers were good, but Smash is where it's at - Brawl is my choice, being the most recent revision.

I usually go with Psi for the Hero and Rho for the Heroine. Exept in the case of Link, who I name MAH BOI whenevr possible.

But having not played that one yet, I'll go with Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 or Izuna 2.

Rumor: Mother compilation coming to US?

Well, if they were going to release a compilation, I'd say it'd be all 3 games on the DS. They already have Mother 1+2 on GBA, and Mother 3 takes up pretty much the entire GBA cart (It's like 13 MB, I beleive).

As unlucky as western gamers have been in the past with Mother games, I'm still praying for this to be true.
