@iofthestorm GCC is just a compiler. If you want to use anything like graphics hardware, the touch screen, the accelerometer, you need libraries. If they use standard Linux ports of SDL, OpenGL and so on, then great. We still need a document or two that says this.

Side B, the App Store. Unless you're a subscription online service, it's not worth your time to make an app unless you can charge for it.

Unless MS decides to support OpenGL ES 2.0, Windows Mobile 7 is going to have serious adoption problems. Direct3D Mobile was poorly supported at best, with almost nobody shipping hardware accelerated drivers. Phones do shaders now, and there's no spec for a shader capable Direct3D Mobile. Sure they can use DX9 as a reference again, ditching Fixed Function support. The thing is, the mobile GPU vendors have OpenGL implementations running right now on the Linuxes, Androids, and custom OS's (Blackberry, iPhone OS, etc). No time left to screw around forcing your own standard on everyone.

I'm a broken record, but SDK and an App Store for both devices please. :)
