Once you get used to the quicker pace, extra characters and more balanced gameplay you can't go back to World Warrior from Hyper Fighting. I'd rather not play it again (I mastered the game with every character) than play a less-evolved version.

Lame.

My predictions:

Phantom Hourglass - Holiday 2007
New Wii Zelda - Holiday 2008 or 2009

They'll likely retire the gameboy for a while, then come out with something crazy. I predict a merging of the DS and Gameboy brands.

I don't mean to be a prick, but can we all just stop with the 'massive damage' jokes? Seriously, there's a few in every post. Get your own material people.

Analysts just take historical trends and extrapolate on them, while throwing in what little they know about the next generation as equation-equalizers (yes I made that up). Stuff like yields, production issues, etc.

That said, it's probably accurate but their guess is only marginally more legit than my Mom's, who has actually never played a console and still calls my games 'tapes'

My friend has a PSP and he was trying to show me that Def Jam fighting game. He booted up the system, had to wait through some screens and started the level.

As we were waiting for it to load I showed him a complete level of NSMB on my DS.

I would pick Street Fighter any day of the week, however I enjoy MK quite a bit as well.

Anything post MKII in the 2d realm sucks. That's when they moved away from Shaw Bros. influenced characters and started adding palette-swapped robots.

I like the design, it's simple and elegant. Although the curved division between the wii logo and art are creating nightmares for the generally horizontal, centre-justified title logos. Look at where the wii logo butts up against the tony hawk title. Yeowch.

What's with all the kiddie references? It's just a logo with grey type on a white background. If it were all rainbows and primary colours with baloons I may agree but sheesh, c'mon people.
