I would have to say the Joe-Beth from the TimeSplitters Future Perfect

Today's hottest game video: Wii-mote plus sweaty hands = SMASH

Nov 25th 2006 3:42PM (Joystiq)
Aww Man, This was just like how my friend broke the strap. I had about five people over playing the Wii and 360 when I see my friend try to swing a Home run out of the park and the remote slips and at that same time another friend was walking infront of the TV and it hits him in the head. This remote now is deflected up and its the ceiling and bounces back down...Now if have a broke wrist strap, an unlucky friend's head, a lucky TV, and a extremely durable remote because it still works fine.

Major next-gen console news coming tonight [update 1]

Sep 7th 2006 5:26PM (Joystiq)
Wow already 400, this is quite fast.
Anyways I think its just going to be like a launch date or price for the Wii, or maybe some features for the Wii.

For the xbox 360 im not sure but it could be a price drop or new feature/handheld.

For PS3 i am thinking any good news is a big announcement...

Family Guy cast signs up to voice game

Aug 24th 2006 8:12PM (Joystiq)
Polly, Thats a hillarious episode!!! Was that season 4? I think it was, maybe season 3. Yeah I love family guy and hopefully they can translate the show to a really great game that can give all the Family Guy lovers some interactive fun.

The 10 stupidest gaming peripherals

Aug 14th 2006 5:02PM (Joystiq)
Chris, Do I really care if it will be a success or not? I just want to have fun playing video games, if that means playing the 360/ps3 instead of the wii then I don't care.

I just want to play something different for the current gen which means there are two ways I can achive this, The Super High-Definition graphics of the PS3 or 360 or the New gameplay of the Wii. I want to try both and see which one will be more fun. Heck I don't care if i need to play all three of them (when i can afford them all).

Apparently all you care about is if the Wii fails. Yes it is a risk, but with risk comes either great success or devastating failure. Same with Sony's strategy of making a very expensive all-in-one entertainment center. I just want whatever is fun and be able to play it. Not which makes more money or has more market share or even if it fails.

Anyways these peripherals are pretty crappy. There are a few that are a bit more opionated but most are useless. I have problems with the super scope being on there because it was really fun but I agree that it was a bit complicated and had problems, although it did make you feel like you were using some big type of gun. The original xbox controller was big, but it was something you could get used to (I have small hands, yet I didn't have an extremely hard problem with it) now it wasn't made with kids to play it I admit. Then again what games are really popular that are made for kids for the xbox? Yeah the Gameboy camera was a bit of a long shot but if you had all the things needed for it then it wouldnt be that bad.

10 franchises that need to return

Apr 21st 2006 4:45PM (Joystiq)
O jeez, Battetoads was one of the first games I played on my SNES and practically one of the first video games I ever played in my 16 year life :) That was a very fun game. My little sister even played it (even though we could never get past the first couple of levels) and she was only like 5. This franchise Definitely needs to be revived : )
One of the best games I ever played on my computer (which was really bad, like the cheapest thing you could get back then) was starcraft. My friend got me to buy it because he said it was loads of fun. Now I really enjoyed it and even with my 56k I had tons of fun on the internet. Then I got the expansion along with my friend and played it for hours on the internet. I eventually got tired of it after a year and a half but not my friend. He still played it for another 2 years and won some tournaments. Now if there was finally a sequel to this it would make me wet my pants :D
These are just the two franchises I can remember that gave me great memories and feelings. There are tons more just like the list.

Joystiq poll: Next-gen combo platters

Jan 17th 2006 7:43PM (Joystiq)
It's looking like Revolution and Xbox 360 are for me unless PS3 finally gives me some details and tells me truly its price. (I am waiting to get 360 when price drops and revolution is gonna be cheap anyway)

Hopefully Sony will be able to whip out some juicy info at E3, if not then I'll end up gettin a 360 since its looking like a pretty good console (except for the price for me) If the PS3 is even more costly then its not an option but im just waitin it out and slobbering over the pics of both the 360 and wut the PS3 is supposed to do...

A sound of thunder: time-traveling in Animal Crossing DS

Jan 11th 2006 4:43PM (Joystiq)
woah, is that a semi-muddy puddle that formed? Jeez thats pretty downhill with all the weeds, clovers, puddles, and other weird stuff. Thats a lot more detail they put into the degrading of a town than the Gamecube Animal crossing which just creates a ton of weeds.

Wish this never happpens to my game when I get back on 10 years from now...
