I was playing a game of Halo reminiscing about some good ole times I had once, and this nice chap said that it was a "Cool story" and then called me his "bro".
So if I post instructions of how to install a program on a computer, does that mean that I am responsible for all cheating in online computer games? I'm seriously worried that I might have rained on all the 15 year olds' Call of Duty parade...
I don't understand what the big deal is. Sony patched GeoHot's hack in the latest firmware update, so the whole 'cheating' issue shouldn't even be a problem if Sony would just stop allowing people to unban themselves and getting onto the PSN with older firmware versions. Microsoft does it just fine. The fact that they are attempting to send a bright (although arrogant and douchey) 21 year old with a fairly promising future into massive debt for the purpose of fear mongering is outrageous. Sony is also using GeoHot's hack as an excuse for their own short-comings. Both Nintendo, Microsoft, and even the PC game industry are able to create a successful and fair game experience even with a massive amount of hacks and piracy.
