Metareview: 300

Mar 7th 2007 4:14AM (Joystiq Playstation)
I'll be honest, Ghost Rider, while being boring, did reveal a few things: Games like God of War might be possible on the PSP, IF done right. It was an excellent beat 'em up, but just within the actual beat 'em up parts of the game; the rest was just horrible.

As for 300? I don't know. Haven't had my shot at it, and probably won't, with all these reviews.

Monster Hunter hits platinum and suddenly becomes attractive to rappers

...ah shit! Guilty as charged, Pixelator.

Hey, maybe the US release will sport infrastructure, and the Japs will get it via online patch. I mean, it already has the download service going, so why not?

Monster Hunter hits platinum and suddenly becomes attractive to rappers

...Monster Hunter 2nd looks amazing. My friend gets imports, and the visuals are abso-*******-lutely, amazing! Well parts of the visuals, because as you know, Monster Hunter's been known for stunning environments and stuff.

However, praise aside: I am uber pissed that part 2 doesn't support infrastructure mode! When will they get this part right? I mean, both the PS2 renditions sported netplay, so why deprive PSP of such a useful feature?

Top 5 on PSP: Action

Oh, man!

Hands down: Syphon Filter - one of the soundest shooters on the system. Next would have to be Killzone for me.

Reader hands-on: Killzone infrastructure [Update 1]

Oh, trust me: "It is totally -worth- it!" Really, when you think about the game's sound and very addictive adhoc multiplayer, you'd know that it's already a win formula for infrastructure mode. I'm very pleased with the results--hence the review--I just hope we continue getting good server speed, etc when this patch goes mainstream.

Clone Wars coming to PSP

Mar 3rd 2007 1:17AM (Joystiq Playstation)
...I pity people who resort to excuses like "Last Star Wars is teh suck, therefore, so is this one!"

No offence, but there's a little thing called bad development. A game is rarely that bad because of its 'theme' or adaptation of plot.

The Clone Wars cartoons were amazing. Hell, I'd take them over the new movies (*GASP* Let the Star Wars fanatics run wild now).

So yeah, I'm willing to give this game, and any other Star Wars game a fair chance.

Saigon, a lot of people use this in a world where a lot of people like you generalise and pass off your fallacies about how all of 'em use ISOs. Get out in the world, and do some first-hand research for once, chump!

Hey! It's a fun game, and that's all that matters to me. I've hooked on this shit!

I am sorry, I forgot that gamers are weaker pansies than anorexic models, complaining about bulk and mass on such a pathetic level. No wonder I despise some of you for whining for an even slimmer design. The hell's wrong with you people? Don't like it, don't buy it! This isn't being developed by SONY, and a bit of bulk isn't going to tear up your weiner biceps!

PSP Fanboy readers Smackdown vs Raw 2008 demands

Feb 26th 2007 10:48PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Too bad none of these pathetic numbnuts actually asked for a real 'feature': Infrastructure Mode. This is the only reason why I ended up going for the game on the PS2.
