Haha. Do you know that's why casinos operate such loud jackpot machines? The winning sound from one player gets sent to all the jackpot players and it makes them feel reinforced even when they aren't getting any money! The sound is a conditioned stimulus.
I'm guessing there was a ding! you worked for once, but now, all ding!s give a sense of satisfaction too ...
Maybe, 3D web-conferencing with a bunch of those phones? Maybe augmented-reality apps in 3D. Might be great if it can measure distances for you using the 3D camera.
I love Shining Force, and esp. the sequel. Any idea if this is the original genesis version or the GBA remake? I hope this makes its way to android too ...
I see how one might potentially use the tablet to achieve such an effect.
However, as a student myself, I have to say that I like having hardcopies around; I like to scribble things in and carry around notes or books for reading in between lessons or journeys. For a tablet to be really effective as a textbook replacement, it has to be 'scribble-able' (Apple Scribble ?), and more importantly, the charge has to last for as long as a school day is (or maybe twice that amount). I doubt we are going to see e-ink implemented in this tablet, so probably the 2nd consideration is out of the question, for this gen. anyway.
As for the scribbling part, they might get that down, I don't know. Still, the idea of not having to search for and lug around textbooks is a nice thought. Even more so if publishers can make e-books a much cheaper offering than hardcopies. Maybe they can even digitally lease us textbooks for over the time it takes to complete a course, or something to that effect, since there are many textbooks that end up being sold, and in bad conditions sometimes, to juniors, anyway.
Reminds me of the mini-sp02 machine i used when I was a medic. It could tell you when you are not getting enough oxygen, perhaps? LOL. I know those machines also measure your pulse, so I guess they can use in a horror game or something. I don't think those type of machines can measure blood pressure, though.
