I'm all for advertisements in video games. Its just like product placement in movies. What I don't like, however, is even though video game companies are getting extra revenue for the ads, I still have to pay 50 or 60 dollars for a game.
That was my biggest complaint with Xbox Live, I have to set here and look at all these advertisements for games and food and other random things but I still have to pay 60 dollars a year for a subscription?
In my opinion, either use advertisements and pass the added revenue on to the consumer in the form of less expensive games, or don't use ads and keep games at 50 or 60 dollars.
I always felt really good in FFXI being able to save random lowbies from getting slaughtered while soloing. It was always a great feeling hopping off of a chocobo to throw a cure or two to keep some one alive.
This is all fine and dandy, but I want to know where my hard light power set is. I played the game non-stop when it came out and capped out a few characters but got bored with the game.
I have promised myself I would play again when I could play as a Lantern and was really hoping with the movie release yesterday, they would have added that power set.
I hope this goes up again. I played Morrowind for the first time last weekend. I really hope that this mod becomes available again as I would love to continue playing an 'updated' version of the game!
