Shadowrun Returns: Kickstarter for a sequel from Shadowrun vets

Apr 5th 2012 1:06AM (Joystiq)
I have gotten back into SNES Shadowrun this week. Some how, some way, some one has been reading my mind when i asked "Will I ever see a real Shadowrun sequel?!?!"

I will be a happy man for the night now

This felt like the story line of fantasy shows season presented in a 5 minute long video.

I still retain the harsh shattered memories of playing an updated sexier version of Half Life on my Dreamcast.

@Draugdraugr

Yea Fallout Tactics has some flack but I do agree I did love the combat aspect. Plus any game with R. Lee Ermey is good in my book.

To be fair you could manifest Fallout 1 & 2 into a party type game. Granted in my case each one of my party members died by the end of the game. You could still work it to where it is a game that has the loose fitting of a party CRPG some what like a Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale.

Double Fine's Kickstarter kick-started funding for video games

I hope this is a new wave that the video game industry is entering. Where the developers, with assistance from gamers are able to get funds to publish their games the way they want them to be. Releasing the stress and strangle from publishers and what they want to happen to the game.

My dream of having a Wasteland 2 is realer than ever.

@Marshillboy

While this may be true let me tell you this. Taking a hammer to a broken hard drive feels a whole lot better. Office Space showed us how bashing the crap out of a computer can help releave stress.

Jordan Mechner finds original Prince of Persia source code

Ain't it something. I remember getting X-wing for pc fon my 11th birthday in 93 and installing it with 5 or 6 floppy disks.

If that wasn't enough of a hassle. In order to play the game each time you had to look up a special code that was in the manual.
