EA giving free game to disgruntled APB buyers [Updated]
Sep 27th 2010 12:00PM (Massively)You are dead wrong here. The game failed because of the developer. They blew $100M on this game over 5-6 years. The game was an unfinished mess and they forced it onto the market too soon. Talk to any closed beta tester and they will tell you the devs at RTW did not listen to a thing they said. The game was really no different 1 year ago then it was at launch, which is unacceptable. RTW knew they had no money left and tried to have the end user pay for keeping them afloat until they could get it right through patches. Too little too late.
The gamers decided the fate of RTW by refusing to keep paying for an unfinished product, hopefully this is a lesson to future MMOs that want to try and pull fast ones on the consumer.
