xbox 360 & playstation 3

i purchased the 6gig model recently and returned it withing 30 days of use from best buy. the player itself is a good player in size and stuff but the only thing that sucked majorly about it, is that it froze on me 3 times..once at the apple store in nyc haha

when i say freezes i mean the screen freezes on watever it;s on, i had the now playing screen, and the music continues but you can't control anything..no wheel, no volume, no way to shut it off. there isn't even a reset button on the unit. the light on the wheel stays on too so i had to let it drain the battery and die and start it up again after charging it up. my old creative zen jukebox (which i miss, i don't care how big or thick it was i never had problems like this -- well the HD crashed lol but thats typical) had one so if it froze i could just pop say a paper clip in and bamn i'm ready to roll again. sandisk's solution is to remove the battery which requires you carrying a philips head screwdriver with you wherever you go lol

they really need to fix that issue. if they did i might consider buying the 8gig unit.

i have the new kenwood ddx6019 up front which plays everything under the sun, i have their navi4100 hooked up to the screen, and for music, since i rarely use CDs anymore, i have the kenwood music keg/phatbox with a 30gig cartridge http://www.phatnoise.com/products/digitalmediaplayers/index.php imo that is the greatest thing they could have created, forget all that putting ur mp3 player into ur car nonsense, all my songs, on a cartridge i control just by touching the screen :)

it's nice that eclipse puts everything all in one but i never liked their style of double din mounts and stuff

that is cool to see the comparison with the upconversions but what i'd really like to see is movies now, that are being shot in 1080p like Sin City. i want to see films that actually lens with a high def camera then got the exact high def. transfer to a high def player able to send the full signal through. i own 2 lcd monitors, one is a 32" samsung lcd with 720p and the other is a 37" westinghouse 1080p monitor. i just recently read about the whole "early adopters" of HDTV and how they will get screwed with downconversion of signals if they use componnent video inputs. i use component now on my samsung with my xbox 360 but come ps3 time i'm going to rock full force HDMI to DVI cable on my 37" monitor. then i hope to see at least with movies, true 1080p transfers. as it stands now, ps3 games will be 720p, not 1080p yet

well...i work at a best buy and we got the game in last night (2/22) i purchased the game even though it's not out yet and i am about half way through the game and it's fawkin fun!! i know the ps2 is on the final act for it's shelf life but i gotta say the games i've been playin (MGS snake eater, shadow of the colossus and other recent break throughs) are pushing this system to the limits..i would like it a lot if microsoft got their game 2gether and emulated the black version for 360 so we could play it in 720P but yet again this is another reason why i am glad ps3 won't be having the problem of playing older games "with emulation problems"..don't get me wrong i like my 360 but the hassle i had with trying to get my chaos theory co-op to work and now this "newer" games not being emulated nonsense stinks :(

blasphemy to all that !!! lol i say..WHERE IS THE SECOND ANALONG "NUB"..if this "psp2" doesn't come with one, it's SO not gonna be worth another 250+ bundle nonsense..

i'm with you on that Jake..datel is good at making devices to help us crack out systems..what a pain in the bum to beat splinter cell(s) all over again on my 360 when i coulda just transferred the saves..

i think i have it figured out for when the ps3 comes out, cause u know there won't be a device like that..so i bet u can use datel's USB thumbdrive, transfer ur game saves from your memory card on it, then transfer them to your pc or onto a memory stick duo (since that'll be one of the memory choices for the PS3) then bamn! hehe ps2 game saves on ps3 hehe i hope =]

i think that for the PS3, Sony def. used Bose as a layout design from their Lifestyle Home Theater unit

the PS3 has almost the same form, sans the flip up door on the opposite side (where the slot loader for discs will be)
