ESRB dreams up Klonoa: Door to Phantomile on PS3 and PSP

Jul 20th 2011 12:34AM (Joystiq)
@Walter White

Yeah, whatever happened to that? They announced they were working on a PSN port of the game a while back. This is the most recent news I could find which includes Klonoa on the list as well as others recently released and some not yet announced:

PSA: PSOne Classics Pocket Fighter is PS3-only

Feb 10th 2011 3:10AM (Joystiq)
Don't contact Capcom, contact SCEA. They have a test team responsible for testing all PS One edi releases. It probably has a major bug when played on the PSP and these old games can't be fixed easily if the developers don't have the resources at their disposal.

There is one other PS One release that is PS3 only, as well as Tetris Mini which we have now discovered has always been because they were developing a PS3 downloadable version and didn't want people to become confused between the two.

Angry Birds is top PSN download in January, Mass Effect 2 comes in at #8

@Italian Stallion
No one seems to mind that this version of Angry Birds is broken apparently. My copy is plagued with lag in specific levels and a major freeze if I put the PSP (Go or 2000) into Sleep Mode while in gameplay, the pause menu or between levels. I have to do a hard system reset or pull the battery out of my 2000 to recover!

Weak.

Angry Birds bombard PSN Minis today

Jan 11th 2011 3:55PM (Joystiq)
Please advise, Angry Birds freezes/crashes after waking from Sleep Mode after about an hour soaking. The system must be powered down by holding the power button up until the system forcefully shuts off. A hard crash, or "blue screen" on a dev kit, may occur if the user attempts to exit the game by means of the Home button and selecting Quit Game. The system or the game will not recover until improperly shut down.

Users with PSP1000 or above that experience this bug may be required to remove the battery if the forced shut down does not power the system down.

This has been reported to Rovio, who disclosed that Chillingo was handling the PlayStation version. No word yet on whether it will be fixed somehow over PSN.

12 Days of Joyswag: Enslaved Collector's Edition resin statue and game

Dec 15th 2010 12:35AM (Joystiq)
I did not pick it up this year because, as a fan of Heavenly Sword and PlayStation, I was hesitant due to the console love they gave to XBOX. I feel this is a big factor in a lot of games sucking on PS3 because they are developed with XBOX as the primary machine due to spacial limitations, memory, and spu limitations. Its easier they say. But Sony made it easier to program a game for PS3 using their tools, and enabling the dev to them port the code to the XBOX and PC in one step with even better results than the usual way.
And I didn't get it cause I'm broke, xmas.

Neo Geo games coming to PSN with online play

Dec 7th 2010 2:10PM (Joystiq)
Where's Magical Drop? That's all I want. Most of the SNK games are already available on PSP and PS2 via the SNK Collection or the Anthology games; Metal Slug, Samurai Showdown, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, etc.

They should do their HD rerelease magic to the PS2 versions of these games and release those with trophies instead of nickel and diming us into the poor house with all these $8 pos games.
