Report: Capcom sees 'no distinction' between on-disc and off-disc DLC

Apr 3rd 2012 2:49PM (Joystiq)
Capcom, you so funneh.

And, this is when I stopped caring entirely, but fear not, Capcom... I began buying your games out of the bargain bin ages ago.

EA still in running for The Consumerist's Worst Company in America

Mar 27th 2012 9:23PM (Joystiq)
Man, I bet Best Buy and GameStop are breathing a collective sigh of relief having been paired up with EA and Walmart, respectively. Although, they're only the lesser of four evils...

BioWare done with Dragon Age 2, fully moving on to next phase

Mar 20th 2012 6:24PM (Joystiq)
Done? Why is it so bad, still? Are they tired of trying to put toppings on this turd of a game?

Either way, friend of mine has all the DLC and I saw it for $15 at GameStop, so I'll be picking it up for $10 along with the aforementioned DLC at some point.

But man... what's goin' on with BioWare lately? They've been pretty BioWeak.

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer strategy videos to help you destroy everyone

Mar 18th 2012 11:31PM (Joystiq)
tl;dr Shoot things, don't die.

In all seriousness, I'm enjoying the multiplayer more than I thought I would and that's after putting a lot of time into the demo before release. I hope there's more maps and enemy types, eventually, though... not to mention they get the events working on the PS3 version - which was a bunch of balls that it didn't.

ME3 is great, but BioWare has really copped out on a lot of things with it keeping it from being the best in the series.

Mass Effect 3 director defends DLC, endings with 'common sense'

Mar 14th 2012 3:17PM (Joystiq)
@whatthegeek Well said, and I totally agree about the lore-heavy character aspect. Like I said, 360 owners have invested a lot, while PS3 owners a bit, in this series.

Withholding this optional, yet lore-heavy, DLC was a poor move. And to fall back on it being optional is even more poor.

Mass Effect 3 director defends DLC, endings with 'common sense'

Mar 14th 2012 3:14PM (Joystiq)
Personally, I thought the DLC was great. Was cool to visit Eden Prime and the NPC is a cool character... but its definitely overpriced for what it is, which is a 30-45 minute romp with Cerberus forces to get a racist Prothean that I'll use very rarely.

If it were more like $5.99, like a few other ME2 packs, I would be content with my purchase. As is, though optional, I regret my purchase of From Ashes.

That said, I've yet to beat the game, so I can't comment on the ending. Here's hoping its fulfilling and I'm content because as a PS3 owner, I have a two game, and two year, commitment with my character and his choices, while 360 owners have a three game, and 3-4 year, commitment to this series.

To have an ending that is "interpretive" or has a bit of "mystery" sounds stupid. Having players put this much time into the story and its choices only to have what sounds like an ending that leaves things open to the players interpretation is, again, absolutely stupid. An ending with this much backing it should have closure. But again, I can't specifically comment or berate the ending until I experience it for myself.

Capcom's Svensson embarrassed by 'Revelaitons' covers, optimistic about RE6

I like how he's embarrassed about the misspelling... yet there's still no mention of the giraffe and the uh, woman.

Assassin's Creed 3 headed to Wii U, first trailer released

Mar 10th 2012 4:52PM (Joystiq)
Kind of pulling a Mass Effect for PS3 owners and Metal Gear Solid for XBOX owners, here, eh? lol

That said, I wonder if this is actual Wii-U footage or more from video taken from PS3/360 like Nintendo did during E3.

Trine 2 DLC brings six new stages this summer; Frozenbyte's next project a new IP

Mar 10th 2012 4:51PM (Joystiq)
Hopefully the DLC doesn't have a high price point... the TRINE DLC was only 99 cents, so I'm hoping for something similiar with TRINE 2.

That said, I've yet to pick up T2. I want it but I'm waiting on a sale... as well as some friends to get it.

BioWare investigating fix for Mass Effect 3 face import errors

Mar 7th 2012 6:27PM (Joystiq)
Does the draw string smile remain? I still find that to be a bigger issue...

I kid. I'll be picking this up but tinkering with multiplayer till there's a fix, I suppose.
