I don't get the Deus Ex GOTY hype. I have enjoyed what I have played of the game, but it doesn't hold my full attention. It never once "wowed" me, and as so many have said before, the boss fights are pathetically lame. Hardly GOTY material. A good game yes, but slightly short of being great. (Runs for cover)
Those are three words that will make me close my wallet. If the industry heads in this direction, it will be a huge mistake. I've been playing video games since my older neighbor got Pong, and my parents bought me the Atari 2600. For the price of a game these days, the industry needs to realize that a lot of us do expect a good twenty to thirty hours of single player mode. Yea, yea, multi-player this, and multi-player that, but I've read so many complaints and experienced them myself, that I know if the industry thinks that high quality single player campaigns are expendable, they will be in for a world of hurt.
I really enjoyed Alan Wake, and am glad to hear there will be another game. I really don't mind the idea of it being an XBLA game. The thing is, my wife's Xbox is running out of hard drive space in a hurry, so I'm not sure if I'll bother to get it. Then again, maybe it's about time I buy my own Xbox.
...so your saying Denny's shouldn't promote this tasty creation because a lot of people just don't have any self control? I find that to be rather absurd. I don't disagree that there is a obesity issue in our country, but that doesn't mean we should turn into a nanny state over it. I think it's pretty well known that hardly anything at Denny's is going to be good for you, and that it would best to limit your visits there.
KFC has gone way down hill over the past couple of decades. When choosing between the two, Popeye's chicken is a much better option. Not only is their chicken better, but their biscuits are as well.
Sorry to burst your bubble there Russell, but there are plenty of authentic taquerias ran by Mexican families over here in the South Eastern part of the country. We also have our share of Americanized Mexican joints as well. To say an East Coaster wouldn't know real Mexican food, is to be an elitist anus. It's hilarious when West Coasters come over here bragging and talking up their Cali-Mex greatness and how it's impossible to find good Mexican over here. Then you find out that they never looked hard enough, or ventured into the part of town where the migrant workers live and realize that there are taquerias all over the place. Not only that, but that they're really good. Even the family Tex-Mex joints they open in the area, are leagues above what what some chains cal Mexican food. One thing some of you elitist West Coasters must remember as well, is that not every region of Mexico makes food the same as the regions the are represented in SoCal.
Do as I did, and learn to make them yourself. I can make a burger on my grill or in my cast iron skillet that blows In-and-Out away. Same with shakes. Not only that, there are plenty of great burger joints on the east coast, both north and south.
I hear they don't toast the English Muffin enough as well. BK's eggs are pored fro ma carton, so they'll never be able to reproduce the real thing. Still, for a buck we can't expect but so much.
I'm with you on the BK fries. They have been terrible for a good two decades now. Not only that, their Whoppers ahve gone down hill in a big way and their produce has never been all that great. If it wasn't for the "buck Double" I wouldn't even bother going to a BK anymore, and hadn't in quite some time until the double cheeseburgers came down in price. BK is the bottom of the fast food barrel right now. They need ot just blow everything up and start over again.
